Episode 99: Author Marisa Silver on leaving film for literature and writing about "ordinary" moments

On our 99th episode of Literary Prospects, we sit down with the brilliant Marisa Silver to talk about her new novel, At Last.

Marisa  is the author of the novels The MysteriesLittle Nothing, the New York Times bestseller Mary CoinLos Angeles Times Book Prize Finalist The God of War, and No Direction Home. Her latest novel, At Last, is out now. Her story collections include Alone with You and Babe in Paradise, a New York Times Notable Book of the Year and a Los Angeles Times Best Book of the Year. Her fiction has appeared in The New Yorker and The Atlantic among other periodicals and literary magazines and has been anthologized widely. She is a recipient of fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers, MacDowell, Yaddo, The Ucross Foundation and La Maison Dora Maar. She lives in Los Angeles.
